After experiencing pain in her face whilst laying down and trying to sleep in 2011, Allison went on to receive numerous examinations before she was finally diagnosed with ACC (Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma)—whilst she was pregnant. 

Her diagnosis was followed by a complex decision-making process that resulted in the start of her treatment journey. 

Allison decided to have surgery after the arrival of her daughter, in September 2011. And went on to receive 30 rounds of radiation whilst caring for her newborn.
